山板樵工作馆前身为一木雕工作室，主人林文源、彭妃玉夫妇从事木雕已十余年。1999年转型木雕从事教学，并成立脸谱馆。现除展览丰富各式脸谱，近年更以道地客家子弟而开发相关客家文化创意商品，未来期盼结合更多在地元素，创造出更具有文化特色的产品。
