The 32nd Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF 2024), held from November 5 to 10, 2024, at Tokyo Big Sight, marked a record turnout with 1,262 exhibitors and 5,743 booths representing companies from across the globe.

A standout feature of JIMTOF is the "Additive Manufacturing (AM) Area," which showcases 53 enterprises. Visitors can experience actual products and demonstrations of 3D printers and AM technologies, offering a dynamic look at cutting-edge advancements in the machine tool and manufacturing sectors.

Recognized as a premier event in the global manufacturing landscape, JIMTOF 2024 attracted professionals and enterprises from around the world. This year, the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders' Association (TMBA) presented 69 member manufacturers—nearly double their presence in 2022. Taiwanese exhibitors showcased cutting-edge technologies and solutions in smart manufacturing, automation, and high-precision machining. They highlighted innovative approaches under the theme “DX & GX for a Sustainable Future,” emphasizing digital transformation (DX) and green transformation (GX) to align with global industry trends.

Patrick P. Chen, the 6th Chairman of TMBA, emphasized that Taiwan’s tooling and key component manufacturers have recently introduced competitive products in smart manufacturing, environmental protection, and energy-saving technologies, which are gaining increasing attention for high-end manufacturing processes.
