Stand Tools offers innovative magnetic pick-up tool for 2022
2022/08/26 | By CENS | STAND TOOLS ENTERPRISE CO., LTD.Stand Tools, based in Taichung, has cemented its role as Taiwan's top supplier of magnetic pick-up tools and digital torque wrenches through long-term investment in R&D capabilities and prioritizing the well-being of the company employees.
The company released a new magnetic adjustable telescoping pick-up tool at the end of 2021, aimed at the Japanese and European markets due to their stringent standards for quality products at reasonable prices. Previous generations' biggest feature was how these pick-up tools were length-adjustable, while the new line of magnetic pick-up tools is equipped with a new key feature - apart from picking up magnetic parts, dust or materials, users can now push the trigger to release the attracted items and allow it to fall to the ground after retrieval. This feature is especially handy for factory workers looking to maintain a clean working environment, as the new feature makes it easier and convenient to clear metallic dust from the factory floor or from machinery, or to pick up dropped items.
Magnetic pick-up tools are often considered a supplementary, nice-to-have tool, as factory workers can still get by without them, but having it on hand will indefinitely streamline processes, says Stand Tools' Brand Hsiao.
These magnetic pick-up tools are most often found in a technician's toolbox in the automotive industry. Hsiao explains this is due to the need to collect dropped items or tools into hard-to-reach areas. In terms of tool maintenance, magnetic tools are relatively easier to look after as it does not require additional batteries to power it up, or other features to work properly, for instance.
Clients that have acquired magnetic tools often apply it in cleaning processes, such as clearing up the factory ground floor of debris and powder. Previous versions of magnetic tools required the user to use their hands to brush off the powder. If the debris is covered in oil or other difficult to wash liquids, it would make the cleaning process significantly more cumbersome. For example, the new magnetic telescoping pick-up tools have found a significant demand niche in Japan's construction industry, where clients there have cited stringent rules to ensure a clean and safe construction environment.
"European and Japanese clients often look to Stand Tools' as we are more than capable of offering a wide range of reliable, stable quality products," says Hsiao.
Weathering the Next Challenges
2022 has introduced a considerable share of challenges with widespread ramifications that market watchers, industry experts, and economic experts are still grappling with. When asked about his own observations ahead of H2 2022, Hsiao expressed concern that companies would turn to a conservative mindset as they mean to tighten their belts due to a pessimistic outlook.
The first two quarters of 2022 performed similarly compared to 2021, Hsiao said, but emphasized that the impacts from the many geopolitical events that occurred in early 2022 have yet to be fully seen and felt in their entirety inside the global supply chains.
However, Stand Tools is capable of utilizing its competitive edge: its willingness to push the envelope makes the firm stand out in the traditional industry with a vast range of different tools for customers to procure in a one-stop manner. When times become more difficult, companies are more likely to look inwards to weather potential downturns.
For example, the ISO9001-certified company has sought to foster a better working environment for its employees in the past two years since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, such as forming departments that focus on bolstering employee physical and mental health, to ensure talents are cared for not just in traditional terms of receiving paychecks, but in a holistic way as well. This is in line with Stand Tools' aim to keep up with global trends, especially upholding the "social" impact in ESG, a trend that has been gaining traction in recent years.
