Heavy oil country lathes/CNC heavy oil country lathes
2015/02/09 | By Ken Liu | DENVER IND. CO., LTD.Denver Ind. Co., Ltd., founded in Taiwan in 1972, makes lathes, milling machines, and built-to-order machines for buyers from all over the world.
The company is currently promoting its HL, HK, and RHL series of heavy-duty lathes, which are laden with useful features. They have spindle bores that range from 6, 9, 10, and 12 to 15 inches in diameter and working beds that come in widths of 24 inches and 32 inches. Their swing-over beds range from 960mm, 1,120mm, and 1,220mm to 2,000mm in diameter, and their spindles traverse 2,000mm-8,000mm in the Z axis.
The working beds on the two series of machines are made of high-torque, one-piece Meehanite die-cast iron made with induction, hardening, and grinding processes. Both series are ideal tools for cutting the huge workpieces and steel rods used in heavy industries like oil pipe, aerospace, and heavy-duty shaft manufacturing.
The RHL series is outfitted with five separate and independently operating carriage and tailstock guide ways that achieve cutting stability beyond the capability of dual guide way designs.
In addition to these families of machines, the company has developed heavy-duty precision CNC facing lathes featuring a middle-mounted Z-axis ballscrew.
Denver Ind. builds all of its machines in Taiwan with well-trained personnel, guaranteeing good quality and efficient service. The company has won CE certification, attesting to quality that is acceptable to the European market.
In addition to Europe, the company’s machines go to the United States, Russia, United Kingdom, and Asia, carrying either its own "Denver" brand or the brands of its buyers. Currently, customized machines account for most of the company’s revenue. (KL)
