Rechi Aims to Become Top-3 Maker of Brushless DC Motors

Taipei, Dec.3, 2012 (CENS)--Rechi Presision Co. Ltd.'s chairman J.X Liu noted that the firm will invest more than NT$100 million (US$3.33 million) to build a new plant for indoor and outdoor brushless DC motors (BLDC), whose annual production capacity will rise from 1.5 million units initially to 30 million units within five years, making Rechi a top-three maker of BLDC internationally.

Liu noted that the firm's revenues and profits to come from four main areas in the future, with shipments of air compressor up 10% year on year (YoY) to 12 million units in 2013; shipments of air-conditioning inverter compressors doubling to 1.5 million units to account for 12.5% of the firm's total shipments in 2013 with 4.5 million units in annual capacity.

Shipments of heat pump dryer compressor in 2013 are estimated to grow 25% from one million units in 2012. Besides, the firm will invest more than NT$100 million (US$3.33 million) to set up a BLDC plant in Humen, Guangdong Province, which came online in the second half of 2012 with 1.5 million units of capacity in the first year.

Institutional investors estimate Rechi's revenues and profits in the fourth quarter to improve from the third, challenging NT$1.5 billion (US$50 million) in revenues and NT$2.2 (US$0.073) in EPS (earnings per share) in 2012, with historical high profits.
