Unconventional LED light bulb cases
2012/10/12 | By Ken LiuDinghao (Xiamen) Lighting Co. is a Taiwanese-founded company that makes LED light bulb cases featuring a narrow mouth, in contrast to conventional bulb cases whose mouth is as wide as their round belly.
The company's bulb cases, made of polycarbonate (PC), spread soft illumination over a wide angle of 270 degrees. Case diameters range from 35mm to 70mm, thicknesses from 0.8mm to 1mm.
Dinghao's LED bulb case production is backed by more than 10 years of experience in streetlight case production, which depends on injection and blow molding methodologies.
Using advanced equipment and mature technology, the company turns out frosted cases that carry no gel-point on top and let out 90% of the light.
The company offers its production capacity of seven million cases a year to contact buyers. Plans are under way to boost annual capacity to 40 million cases by the end of this year.
Dinghao, which boasts SO-9001, ISO14001, UL, CE, and RoHS certification, counts Osram, Sharp, Samsung, and GE among its major contract buyers.
Company officials stress that they are motivated by the desire to help make LED lamps affordable to consumers everywhere. (KL)
