Taipei, Oct.2, 2012 (CENS)--With increasing light emitting diode (LED) lighting demand from emerging global markets, China Electric Manufacturing Corporation, a Taiwanese lighting equipment maker, is ready to export LED lighting starting this fourth quarter.

With emerging nations investing comparably more in infrastructure than developed nations in recent years, higher economic growths is expected in Russia, Thailand, Vietnam, India, and Africa. Hence many cross-strait LED lighting operators' eagerness to develop such markets, according to LEDinside, a global LED market research and information platform.

China Electric says it has been mainly promoting exports of LED bulbs, LED tubes, and T5 lights to Southeast Asia.

There is ample business potential in Southeast Asia seeing the LED lighting penetration there is only 5% to 8%, with that in Taiwan to reach estimated 30% to 40% this year, and even higher rates in Japan, the United States, and Europe.

The Thai lighting market generated revenues of US$ 250 million this year, with LED lighting penetration of 10%, and to exceed a predicted 45% by 2015, according to LEDinside.

The draft of the 2011-2020 Urbanization Plan issued by the Vietnamese government shows the national urbanization rate to reach 68% by 2015, pointing to a new market for LED lighting makers.
