Rechi Precision Supplies Parts for Air-conditioners to Japan

Taipei, July 23, 2012 (CENS)--Executives of Rechi Precision Co., Ltd., a major Taiwanese compressor manufacturer, say that the firm supplies famous white appliance companies as Sharp Corporation of Japan and Chinese Haier Group inverters and non-inverter compressors for air conditioners.

Also the heat wave in central and northeastern U.S. recently have driven American buyers to inquire about such compressors, so orders from the U.S. this year will come one month ahead of September.

By contrast, due to economic slowdown in China, Rechi has suffered lower sales value and volume there, where aggregate new orders can only keep the firm rolling for two weeks, with July orders also being anemic, said Rechi executive.

Before the mainland Chinese government announced the details of procurement of energy-efficient household appliances on June 1, local white appliance companies as Haier Inc, Midea Group, Gree Electric Appliances Inc. and TCL Corporation had suspended compressor orders to Rechi, which did not impact the maker's 90%-plus capacity utilization in June.

Rechi executives added that, with the second-stage subsidies for buying energy-efficient household appliances in Taiwan expiring on July 23, many large home appliance companies as Teco Electric & Machinery Corp., Tatung Company, Sanyo Electronic (Taiwan) Co., Ltd., Heran Co., Ltd. and Sampo Corporation., asked the firm to advance the shipment deadline to the end of June from mid-August, believing Rechi can handle rush orders for 20,000-30,000 compressors.

Rechi sold 912,700 air conditioning compressors in June, down 6.15% YoY.
