Everlight Has Aggressive LED Lighting Plan for Mainland Chinese Market

Taipei, May 29, 2012 (CENS)--Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd. plans to add 6,000 shops in mainland China next year for its LED lighting products after signing up an estimated 3,000 stores this year in the mainland.

The company is already Taiwan's No.1 brand name supplier of the bulbs in terms of the volume of its bulbs in distribution channels. So far, the company's LED bulbs are available at B&Q, RT-Mart, and 7-11 stores. Starting June, the company's bulbs will hit Carrefour stores in Taiwan.

Everlight Chairman Y.F. Yeh pointed out that after securing the company's top position on the island the company will make inroad into the mainland market. The company has opened a branch office in Shanghai, starting talks with the mainland's retailers and plumbing stores over cooperation.

According to the Shanghai branch, Everlight's LED lighting operation in the mainland will target government project, streetlight project, commercial lighting, hotel lighting, department store lighting and household lighting sectors as its major markets.

While pushing into the Chinese mainland market, the company also plans to increase its contracted stores in Hong Kong to 160 from current 40 to keep up with brisk demands on the city island.
