Taipei, April 2, 2012 (CENS)--The spring edition of the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 2012, scheduled for April 6-9 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, is being staged about one week earlier than usual, with Hall 1 provided for the first time as the main venue in its fourth year. The easily accessible ground-level venue facilitates convenience for exhibitors and buyers.

The Hall of Aurora will provide an elegant environment especially designed for branded products; the Hall of LED will cater to exhibitors and buyers with a wide range of LED applications; and Retail Lighting will accommodate exhibitors offering retail business solutions.

Other zones this year focus on Decorative Lighting, Green Lighting, LED Lighting and Lighting Accessories, Parts and Components, Commercial Lighting, and Technical and Outdoor Lighting.

The 2012 show is predicted to set new records for both exhibitor and buyer numbers. Last year, the spring event drew 648 suppliers from 12 nations, spiking 70% from a year earlier, as well as over 25,000 buyers, nearly half of which from China, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan.

This year, 23 Taiwanese suppliers have signed up with the Taiwan-based China Economic News Service (CENS), the exclusive agent licensed by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) to sell booths in Taiwan, 35 booths.

The spring event will also be informative, with forums to host lighting designers and manufacturers to forecast trends, and quality-inspection experts to brief attendees on the latest international regulations and technological developments.
