Taipei, Jan. 20, 2012 (CENS)--Delta Electronics Inc. will begin promoting its own-brand LED lamps in Japan and mainland China this year.

The company's executives pointed out that Delta has worked as a contract supplier to Japan's LED lamp brands to tap the market. This year, the company will begin selling own-brand lamps in Japan throughout B2B channels.

They pointed out that LED replacements for incandescent bulbs in Japan would increase sharply mostly thanks to further markdown of LED light bulbs to points acceptable by average consumers.

The company has recently introduced a 130-gram, 1,000-lumen light bulb primed for Japan's and mainland China's markets. The bulbs are lit by chips from Epistar Inc. of Taiwan, currently the world's No.1 supplier of blue chips by volume.

For Japan's commercial-lighting market, the company will supply dimmable lighting systems and high-lumen lamps.

Also, the company has launched solar-powered and wind-powered LED streetlights. A 5,500-lumen solar-powered light is equipped with programmable dimming system. A 150W solar power supply allows the light to deliver 90 lumens per watt for three consecutive days. Its wind-powered lights can be plugged in solar panels and city grid networks.
