PAACE Automechanika Mexico 2010

PAACE Automechanika Mexico is the most important automotive trade show for Mexico and Central America. Held in conjunction with the International Week of the Automotive Industry and with the support of major industry associations, the event has become a growing platform for automotive business in the region.

Held at Centro Banamex of Mexico City July 14-16, PAACE Automechanika Mexico 2010 was in its 12th edition, drawing 650 exhibitors from 19 countries whose products and services were spread across 24,853 square meters. Growing 140% in size from 2009, this year's event signaled growth and recovery in the global automotive aftermarket, also confirming the opportunities in Mexico's important and significant share of the market.

In addition to the record turnout of exhibitors from Mexico and around the world, with Mexican companies taking up 40% of the stands and foreign firms making up the remaining 60%, the show was successful in upgrading buyer quality: admitting only the most qualified buyers and attendees in the industry.

With significant domestic and international manufacturers as exhibitors, PAACE Automechanika Mexico 2010 again proved to be a favored sourcing platform for domestic and international products and suppliers. The 3-day event attracted some 12,059 buyers and visitors from Mexico, Latin America and many other countries.

We have enjoyed years of success in the U.S. and Canada and this show allowed us the opportunity to help grow the brand in an area where we see enormous opportunities.”

Extra events added to the diversity of this year's show, including feature vehicles and live customization to product innovations and demonstrations. Responding to the needs of attendees, the New Product Showcase featured 30 of the latest products and service launched by exhibitors in a special display, demonstrating innovations in the market. To support the growth and interest in the specialty equipment market, PAACE Automechanika Mexico 2010 featured one of the largest customization displays in Mexico, with more than 98 customized vehicles sponsored by the National Association of Mexican Auto Clubs and Muscle Cars V8 Magazine.
