AMPA and AutoTronics Set to Attract 1,050 Exhibitors This Year

Taipei, April 9, 2010 (CENS)-- Taipei AMPA (Taipei Int'l Auto Parts & Accessories Show) 2010 and AutoTronics Taipei (Taipei Int'l Automobile Electronics Show) 2010, both slated for April 12-15, are expected to attract 1,050 exhibitors in 2,730 booths, both record highs, reflecting industry insiders' optimism towards the market this year.

With the "Moving Green, Driving Eco" theme, the two shows will impress visitors with a comprehensive line of auto parts and accessories developed in line with growing awareness of eco-friendly issues. This year, TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council), the show organizer, will set up a pavilion to showcase a series of parts and accessories, especially lithium iron phosphate batteries and related green applications, for electric cars.

Besides, the show organizer will also arrange a "Green Power" display area on the showground, in which various auto parts featuring fuel efficiency, low carbon dioxide emission, high engine performance, lightweight and easy assembly will be showcased to underline Taiwanese manufacturers' efforts on development of green products.

A number of heavyweight buyers, including France's Peugeot Citroen Automobiles and Faurecia, Germany's Brose Fahrzeugteile GmBH and Leopold Kostal GmBH, Japan's Access Inc., China's Guangzhou Automobile Group. Turkey's TE Sa Global San.ve Tic and Oto Altay Otomotiv Yedek Parca, Russia's Tahoe Transmission, Poland's Fota S.A. and Moto-Profil SP. and Brazil's Tracto Electric Group, will also attend the two shows to source Taiwan-made auto parts.

During the four-day span, the 6th Autotronics Forum and in-person buyer-and- supplier meetings will also be held at the two shows, with BMW, Australia's Delphi, S. Korean Hyundai, China's Peugeot, India's Mahindra & Mahindra having already applied to take part. Not to diverge from their tradition of being an ideal business platform, the two shows this year are expected to also create huge business opportunities into Taiwan's auto parts sector.
