Converter Technology Co., Ltd., founded in 1986, is Taiwan's leading supplier of electronic manufacturing services. Since its inception, the company has offered extensive EMS in the fields of electronic products, SMT processes, PCBA, assembling, testing and packaging.
The company has extensively cultivated and trained R&D personnel for such products as LED devices, audio-video media entertainment, wireless networking, car electronics, handheld devices, and lighting fixtures. At present, the company's major product lines are WHL, LED, CCFL, T5 and T8 lights.
Providing high-efficiency, high-quality, high-value-added integrated innovative services, Converter has established vertically integrated and global supply-chain services, from the design to customer demand facets.
Converter is headquartered in Chungli of Taoyuan County, northern Taiwan. Since its plant in Wujiang of Jiangsu Province, China became operational in September 2003, Converter has been expanding production bases mainland China, including setting up a plant in Xian of Shaanxi Province in July 2006 and another plant in Fuzhou of Fujian Province in September 2008.
The firm is now capable of offering optimal operating and professional services to customers, such as total solutions in the fields of design, production engineering, logistics management and components. With the services, the firm has also successfully cut production costs and shortened the lead time for marketing new products.
The firm has cooperated with the government-backed Industrial Technology Research Institute and National Tsinghua University to develop metal halide and LED lamps, which have been applied to a variety of outdoor and indoor lamps. The company claims its products can cut energy consumption by 50% to 90%, compared with those produced by rivals. (BS)
