13th WMF 2010 and FAM2010 Are the Biggest in China and Asia

Driven by the gradual global economic recovery and incredible growth in China, including an increasingly affluent and bigger consumer segment, the 13th International Exhibition on Woodworking Machinery and Furniture Manufacturing Equipment (WMF2010) and the 13th International Exhibition on Furniture Accessories, Materials and Wood Products (FAM2010), scheduled to be staged at the China International Exhibition Centre (CIEC) in Beijing March 10-13, 2010, will again be positioned as a motivator of two closely related trade events that have huge potential to create business for a long supply chain. WMF2010 & FAM2010 provide not only potentially lucrative opportunities for product sourcing and technology exchange, but also, perhaps more importantly, show professionals along various levels of the supply chain the state of woodworking machinery and furniture, wood product supply in China, helping to pave the road to new businesses.

Besides being exclusively supported by the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (EUMABOIS) and organized by the China National Forestry Machinery Association, Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., China Forestry Group Corporation and China Building Decoration Association, this year's exhibition will take up some 60,000sqm across the entire CIEC, where buyers and other professionals can expect to see an one-stop sourcing platform for technologies and products related to woodworking machinery, furniture accessories and materials.

Press Conference

At the press conference held Jan 26, 2010 at the Beijing Landmark Hotel, Mr. Q.S. Ma, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of China National Forestry Machinery Association summed up in four explicit phrases in his analysis "The Impact of Global Financial Crisis on China Woodworking Machinery Industry": "Suffered from Huge Attack; Speed of Development is Affected; Faced Great Challenges; New Development is being Gained," a presentation attended by Ms. Y.D. Meng, International Sales Manager of China National Forest Products Industry Corporation; Ms. Z.L. Zhang, Secretary General of The Materials Committee of China Building Decoration Association; and Mr. Stanley Chu, Chairman of Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. Besides speeches by the officials on the development of China's woodworking industry, market trends of decorative materials, WMF2010 & FAM2010 highlights, Mr. Stanley Chu promoted the events by saying that over 20 years of considerable effort has turned WMF2010 & FAM2010 into the largest and most influential woodworking exhibitions in Asia and China.

Ample support at the press conference was also shown in the attendance by representatives of various trade associations, embassies and chambers of commerce, including Mr. J.Q. Sun, General Secretary of Beijing Building, Door and Window Industrial Association; Mr. J.G. Li, General Secretary of Langfang Woodworking and Furniture Manufacture Profession Association; representatives from the embassies of the Republic of the Fiji Islands, Republic of Turkey, Saudi Arabia; Australia International Trade Association & Associates; and Advantage Austria etc. Mr. J.G. 600 Exhibitors and 7 Pavilions

WMF2010 & FAM2010 will attract some 600 renowned exhibitors from Austria, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, India, Japan, Korea, Italy, Malaysia, Spain, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, the U.S. etc., some of which will be organized in 7 pavilions including ones by the Germans, Italians, Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), Taiwan Woodworking Machinery Association (TWMA), Qingdao Woodworking Machinery, Shanghai Woodworking Machinery and Lunjiao Woodworking Machinery. Besides advanced equipment, technologies and trendy furniture accessories, the event will showcase over 2,000 of the latest woodworking machinery. Lunjiao and Qingdao, two important woodworking machinery regions in China, will be at the event with their own pavilions the first time to build exposure amid the international woodworking industry.
