Since its founding in 1970 in Kaohsiung City, southern Taiwan, Shing Sheng Fa Boat Building Co., Ltd. has been engaged in boatbuilding as one of the most experienced on the island.

Shing Sheng's position in Taiwan's shipbuilding industry goes undisputed as it was the first on the island to build fishing boats out of FRP (fiber reinforced plastic) in 1969. Running two shipyards, the company boasts an annual production capacity of over 36 various vessels, almost all of which are delivered to Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia and Latin America.

Forty years of dedication has seen the company evolve into a top-notch shipbuilder, supplying a variety of fishing boats, ferries etc. with a time-tested name in the global market. Having international qualifications, including (LR) +100A LCM by Lloyd's Register of Shipping, the Netherlands's DNV ISO9000-2000 standards and (DNV) +A R200 Fishing Vessel by Norway Register of Shipping, also helps to underline the company's global-caliber capability.

Becoming a member of the U.S.'s ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council), the maker has branched into producing motor yachts since 2007, having delivered a 36-foot super fishing boat and 54-foot speed yacht overseas. Also tapping its 40-year knowledge in fishing boat construction, the builder has constructed an 80-foot super yacht to expand its line. (SC)
