文山包種茶係台北縣主要農特產品，由台北縣農會在1978年8月14日聯合文山茶產區農會（包括新店、坪林、深坑、石碇、平溪、汐止）共同出資組織成立『文山茶共同產銷推廣中心』，旨在宣揚推廣文山包種茶，創立『文山包種茶』之共同品牌。
