口湖渔类生产合作社成立于1996年，有口湖地区45家台湾鲷养殖者的联盟而成。今天，合作社社员包括南台湾200家以上的养殖户，社员拥有并蓄养超过2300公倾的养殖池，约等于全岛的1/4的台湾鲷养殖户。
