In 1973, Shin Shyu Enterprise Co, Ltd. has been founded under the principle of providing excellent quality product efficiently while lowering costs for the customer around the globe. Shin Shyu has than served the lock industry and earned solid reputation as an OEM source for manufacturing quality, product innovation and responsive customer support for over 30 years.
In 1983, Baton Lock & Hardware Co Inc. was established to further serve the Northern and Southern America customers. By creating Baton as service center, Shin Shyu Enterprise has successfully reduced the delivery time from weeks to days by investing millions of dollar in inventory and flexible assembly line.
The success of Baton USA spurs the joining the service center of Regia Company UK in 1992. The Regia Company was later expanded and reorganized as Baton Lock Limited (UK) in 1995.
In 1994, Fu Wang Lock & Hardware Co was formed in Haining, China (130km from Shanghai) and later expanded in 2001 with a 6,500 SQ meters manufacturing space. The production facility has also been certified with ISO 9001 since. This well-trained local team plus the extensive knowledge in locking devices has further ensured Shin Shyu’s services capability in corroborating not oniy for the manufacturing but also for outsourcing quality products with competitive pricing.
In light of increasing demand of the decorative door hardware in North America market, Baton Security Products Co was separated from a division of Baton Lock and Hardware in 1998 to concentrate servicing this unique customer group since.
Developing and adopting new item to expend our service range has always being one of our most important policies. Baton’s R&D h’as successfully developed a series of European style Mortise lock cases and related hardware. Today the mortise lock has passed the DIN 18251, EN 12209, EN 179 for ESCAPE DOOR, and EN 1634 for the fire door certified by CE Mark with highest standard under the name of Baton Europe SL. We believe a 5,000 SQ meters or so assembling and warehousing facility at Asausa, Spain will serve as the logistic transportation stop for EUROPE, UK, and AFRICA for the foreseeable future.
