The one and only in Taiwan! Fastener Taiwan 2024 kicked off yesterday (5th) for its seventh edition, showcasing the country's impressively integrated fastener industry supply chain.

Fastener Taiwan 2024 is Taiwan's international B2B fastener exhibition, showcasing a wide array of fastener products and related services. This event serves as a crucial platform for sourcing and procurement, meeting the diverse needs of industry professionals.

The opening ceremony of Fastener Taiwan 2024 begins with a speech by Lu Hui-chu, Deputy Director of the International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs (TITA). Lu noted that Taiwan's fastener industry is highly export-oriented and plays a significant global role. In 2023, total export sales exceeded $4.77 billion, making Taiwan the world's third-largest exporter. With net zero carbon reduction becoming a global trend, the International Trade Administration will focus on the industry's needs to provide comprehensive support.

Cathy Yang, Deputy Director of Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), highlighted the recent expansion of Taiwan's fastener manufacturers into high-tech industries such as semiconductor equipment, EV parts, aerospace fasteners, medical devices, and new energy sectors, driven by the development of Smart Manufacturing and the IoT.

Dr. Tu-Chin Tsai, Chairman of the Taiwan Industrial Fastener Institute (TIFI), emphasized the strength and international reputation of Taiwan's fastener industry, often referred to as the "screw kingdom." Taiwan is home to over 1,800 screw and fastener manufacturers, renowned for their industrial clusters that enable foreign buyers to conveniently source all necessary products in a short time. This year's exhibition is featuring over 1,000 booths from more than 300 exhibitors, and Tsai expects to attract over 20,000 visitors.
