Next gen EV solutions from TECO on display at Hannover Messe

2022/05/31 | By EDN

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world-renowned industrial show Hannover Messe has finally returned after a two-year hiatus, having kicked off on Monday.

TECO Group, together with a European affiliated company Motovario S.p.A., a major Italian reducer manufacturer, jointly exhibited three major themes: "Carbon Neutral Solutions", "Smart Mobility Solutions" and "Smart Manufacturing Solutions." Three electric vehicle (EV) power systems were exhibited to develop the electric vehicle market.

TECO exhibited three EV power systems, namely T Power +, T Power 2-in-1, and T Power 3-in-1, at Hannover Messe, showing its ambition to invest in the market. TECO pointed out that the power system adopts a flexible modular design with an output power of 8~272kW, which can meet different market demands to produce electric passenger cars, electric buses, and electric special vehicles. The TECO team specially used AR augmented reality technology to digitally showcase the usage scenarios of the "T Power 2-in-1 electric vehicle power system" at the booth site.

Chairman Chiu Chun-zhi of TECO stated that when the world is addressing climate issues and advocating carbon neutrality, TECO has already laid out relevant business opportunities to promote smart low-carbon factory solutions and develop modular electric vehicle power system series. Not only in Asia, but active markets like North America and Europe have customers looking forward to achieving energy conservation and emission reduction goals for global clients.

In the "Carbon Neutral Solutions" section, TECO exhibited the newly developed "Permanent Magnet Direct Drive System" to European and American customers. It conforms to the IE5 standard and is mainly used in the cooling water tower industry without requiring mechanical transmission components. Apart from improving efficiency, the system can more comprehensively address problems such as gearbox wear, driveshaft breakage, and oil leakage, which greatly saves maintenance costs, leads the industry in energy efficiency and can provide energy-saving solutions for different fields.

TECO's carbon-neutral solution also includes a "waste heat recovery system," which can help customers evaluate the feasibility of recycling power generation for medium and low-temperature waste heat above 80 degrees Celsius and make full use of various waste heat sources in industrial processes to convert them into green electricity. For a widespread rollout of this solution,m TECO has cooperated with the public sector in North American countries. Recycling power generation can achieve the goal of reducing emissions and help industrial users move towards the goal of carbon neutrality.
