Chung Ho Cheng (CHC) Enterprise Co., Ltd
2020/03/26 | By CENSCHC: Specialist of Finest Steel, Aluminum and Copper Forging
Chairman Lai Han-chung said his company is largely built upon tooling development, having manufactured over 3,000 sets since its inception. To meet clients' abundant demands, it took the firm nine times to expand their original 200-ping (661.157 square meters) factory to 10,500 ping (34710.744 square meters). The firm is able to offer small quantity but high variety products with its 11 production chains. CHC keeps a close eye on their production process: from the initial stages of raw materials to monitoring factory personnel on the production lines, as well as achieving talks with the world's sixth largest steel mill, Taiwan Steel, to receive a quota of 300 tons of steel each month, ensuring the firm's continual supply of steel materials and high quality products for clients. Also, CHC keeps 4,000 tons of raw materials in storage to meet varied production schedules. This enables them to meet their monthly production forging quota of 800 tons of steel and 300 tons of aluminum alloy.
Lai further pointed out that in the face of competitions in the globalized market, CHC has great flexibility in receiving orders since CHC has chosen in cooperation with peer groups instead of competing with each other. As the vice president of Taiwan Forging Association, he has the responsibility to gather and transform the forging industry capabilities into positive energy, maximize the value to share with peers, and establish a friendly environment and resource sharing.
CHC mainly focuses on manufacturing auto components, especially in suspension and steering system parts.
It had rolled out the supply of electric vehicle parts, receiving orders from Tesla. By continuous innovation and refinement, the firm has laid down plans to cross over into aerospace industrial products.
To streamline the production process, the firm also allows clients to provide product images, samples or 3D models of forging embryo designs or scanning samples to create 3D files, and design molds through CAM and CNC. Once the mold is finished, it will be moved forward to the production line to manufacture samples and sent through a three-dimensional measuring bed to clarify whether measurements meet clients' demands. If the orders are OEM parts, the firm would verify the orders through standardized procedures for operation, inspections, failure mode analysis and effects analysis and monitoring plans before mass production approval.
With more than 30 years of experience in tooling design and a full understanding of the properties behind each raw material, it allows CHC to optimize the design of new products. As the team has a strong background in diverse product production and CAE application, the firm's R&D department can help clients design new auto parts and hand tools products from scratch by applying high-precision technology with high added value and provide the most cost-effective solutions to meet customer needs, creating a win-win situation. Currently, CHC serves buyers around the world, ranging from North America, Central and South America, Europe, Asia. CHC relentlessly pursues product innovation and refinement of forging technology, while strengthening the management of production equipment to ensure maximum production capacity.
