COB LED packages

Lustrous Technology Ltd., a Taiwan’s leading LED packager well versed in multichip-on-board packaging technology, has recently debuted a family of new products codenamed “Carol”. Volume production will start in the first quarter of 2012.

The package family falls into C506 and C513 models. The C506 is a 6.3-watt collection comprising 615-lumen, 700-lumen and 800-lumen packages at forward current of 350mA. The warm-white 615-lm package generates 98 lumens per watt at 3,000K CCT with 85 CRI, the neutral-white 700-lm package generates 111 lumens per watt at 4,000K CCT with 80 CRI, and the cool-white 800-lm package generates 127 lumens per watt at 5,000K CCT with 70 CRI.

The C513 is a 13.5-watt category made up of 1,200-lm, 1,370-lm, and 1,550-lm packages driven by 720mA-rated forward current. The warm-white 1,200-lm package produces 89 lumens per watt at 3,000K CCT with 85 CRI, the neutral-white 1,370-lm package produces 101 lumens per watt at 4,000K CCT with 80 CRI and the cool-white 1,550-lm package produces 115 lumens per watt at 5,000K CCT with 70 CRI.

Thermal resistance is fewer than 2.5 C per watt in C506 fewer than 2 C per watt in C513. Both types beam light at 130 degrees.

High efficacy and slim size make Coral devices ideal for various lighting applications such as light bulb and downlight. (KL)
