Motive Power Industry Co. Ltd., which globally markets a line of quality and stylish powered two-wheelers (PTW), all terrain vehicles (ATV), buggies, and e-scooters under the iconic PGO brand, has launched a state-of-the-art e-scooter with dual power sources.

This full-electric E-BUBU e-scooter differs from other scooters for both classical styling and technology. Adopting an innovative, intelligent dual electric power (IDEP) system that uses a lithium-ion battery to store and supply power steadily to a lead-acid battery, which has the higher torque to drive the motor. Such design, says the company, prolongs the life of the lead-acid battery by avoiding frequent, full discharges while reducing vehicle weight.

The 26V/12Ah portable lithium-ion battery in the vehicle weighs only 2.5 kilograms and can be stored in the luggage compartment for recharging at home, and can be fully recharged within two hours to cruise 60 kilometers at a steady 30 kph.

This upscale scooter is driven by a 500W DC brushless motor for excellent all-round performance, with a maximum speed of 60 kph and climbing capacity to 12-degrees with one 75kg rider.

Other conveniences include a big under-seat storage to hold two half-mask helmets.

Motive Power believes its new e-scooter offers highly improved performance and will help to turn around the negative image of such vehicles to consumers. (QL)
