"Oxygen (O2) is the main cause of deterioration. When exposed to oxygen, foods lose their freshness, taste, flavor, wholesome goodness and important nutrition value," says Hsiao Min-chiung, the company's manager. "Our oxygen absorber can reduce the oxygen in an airtight container down to 0.01% (100 ppm) and prevent the growth of aerobic microorganisms."

"Oxygen absorber can work on all kinds of food products, including salami, hard sausage, pizza crust, buck wheat, sponge cake, bread, regular coffee, dried egg powder, chocolate, cookies, potato chips, beans, dried noodles, etc.," Hsiao indicates.

Sand-Tech's oxygen absorber is marketed both at home and abroad under own brand "Agelong".
