We're Top Co. (WAT) was set up in 1999 to develop and manufacture high-end auto-racing parts that promise more power, enhanced steering, and more driving fun. It was a young Taiwanese auto racer, in fact, who established the firm together with a Japanese professional auto technician.

Polo Shih, the racing enthusiast in question and WAT's president, says that his products are put on the market only after they have been thoroughly racetrack-tested and proven to be effective and functional. "All of our products offer the highest reliability, safety, and durability," he claims, "and are clearly demonstrated to be up to standard by continuous racing tests."

The company's R&D "pit crew" have developed many products that have been patented worldwide, many of which have been adopted by championship racing teams. WAT itself, for example, has installed its products on six Subaru Impreza monster-power racing cars that have defeated all competitors at leading competitions in Taiwan. The cars are scheduled for further improvement with the addition of more new and innovative WAT-made horsepower- and steering-enhancing devices.

Among the leading-edge patented racing parts that the company has developed in the past few years are pilo reteral links (to improve steering sensitivity), central differential-lock mounts (to lock four-wheel-drive vehicles into two-wheel-drive mode), weight-cutting aluminum air-flow connectors for intake systems (to accelerate kick-down responses and upgrade torque by increasing the volume of intake air), fuel-injection nozzle mounts (for diameter-enlarged injection nozzles), high-temperature- and pressure-proof water hoses (made of special-formula rubber and composite materials), titanium wheel-rim nuts, steering-wheel connectors (featuring quick release and adjustable length), and high-end engine mounts (made of hardened rubber for better shock absorption).

The company's R&D team has 10 members, each a specialist in a certain field. The most advanced manufacturing techniques and equipment from Japan are used to best serve the global high-end auto-racing parts market.

Shih states that WAT is fully capable of custom-developing horsepower- and steering-enhancing parts for various car models. Over the next few years, he says, the company will concentrate on developing technical platforms and using them to make parts in various specifications for different kinds of cars.

WAT products are sold under the WAT brand in the United States, Japan, and Europe.
