C-Tek Technology Corporation, founded in 1991, is a professional Taiwan manufacturer of CNC (computerized numerically controlled) machine tools. In addition to computerized machine-tool models, the company is also expert in the development of sophisticated CNC controllers.

The ISO-9001:2000-certified enterprise has an in-house research and development department which has over the years continually unveiled some of the sector's most advanced CNC milling machines, machining centers, electric-discharge machines (EDMs), wire-cut EDMs, and drilling EDMs.

Sparker Chang, president of the company, says the firm's state-of-the-art units coupled with the best in CNC controllers is the perfect match for meeting customers' demand for accurate and high-speed machining. Recently the company debuted a new model that has quickly caught the attention of potential buyers from important markets around the globe-a large-sized double-column CNC milling machine.

The president states that his company is the only domestic machine-tool manufacturer with the ability to develop software, PC (personal computer)-based CNC controllers, servomotors, and drivers. The result is, he says, unsurpassed integrated driving systems that best match requirement for the most accurate machining.

C-Tek's CNC milling machines are equipped with extreme-rigid casting construction. The main casting bed, column, saddle, table of the machines are made of high-quality Meehanite casting. The machines also feature hardened three-axis slideway, heat-treated table surface, and precision-ground T-slots.

"Since our establishment, we have been focusing on the manufacture of advanced machine tools that are easy to operate and repair," says Chang. "Thanks to our long-term dedication to making easy-to-operate machine tools, we have won good reputations at home and abroad. All our products are CE-approved."

Because of sterling efforts at cost-savings made by its R&D team, Chang says the firm can offer machines at the most reasonable prices. "Over the past several years we have been making all-out efforts to rationalize our production procedures," he says, "which have proven key to our ability to offer our machines at such competitive prices."

The company's output is mainly destined for foreign markets, especially Africa, the Middle East, Western Europe, mainland China, and North America.
