| With the government's plan of doubling foreign tourist arrivals finally producing results, foreign tourist arrivals in Taiwan surpassed 3.37 million person-trips in 2005, up 14.5% over the previous year, and revenues of tourist hotels also rose 13%, greatly boosting the morale of domestic tourist-industry players.
