Lupao Kiln’s unique stone glaze tea set, fired at temperatures over 1250℃, creates a distinctive textured surface with special granules. This surface represents a simple, natural, modest, and tranquil Zen spirit. The unique stone glaze can only be fired successfully within a very limited temperature range. The surface becomes too smooth if firing temperature exceeds the proper range, and becomes too rough if firing temperature falls below the proper range. Only exceptional craftsmanship, experience, and dedication can ensure the desired glaze texture.
