Jin Tay Industries Co., Ltd., an ISO9002-approved specialist maker of locks, recently demonstrated an innovative code lock for personal digital assistants (PDAs).

Small and high-priced, PDAs are an easy target for thieves, and in most instances the information stored inside is just as valuable as the hardware itself.

Jin Tay's PDA code locks are incorporated into an innovative base to which most PDA models can be attached, providing simple and effective anti-theft protection.

Jin Tay claims that the PDA code-lock base is ideal for use in PDA stores, display/exhibition areas, and offices. The device is currently patent-pending in many nations, including Taiwan, mainland China, the United States, and Germany.

The firm sees a bright future for such new locks, as PDAs are gradually gaining popularity with more and more integrated functions to replace various heavier and bigger single-function portable counterparts.

Established in Taiwan in 1980, Jin Tay has long been a major international supplier of key locks and cam locks. The company set up a plant in mainland China in 1991 to reduce production costs. Jin Tay claims that it supplies a powerful competitive-edge package encompassing high product quality, fast delivery, and reasonable prices.
