Taipei, May 24, 2004 (CENS)--With strategic alliance with Nan Ya Plastics Corp., Lan Fa Textile Co. has grown into Taiwan's largest polyester filament producer in terms of production capacity.

Today Nan Ya supplies about 80% of its specific and functional micro fiber fabrics to Lan Fa, which as a result has surpassed its domestic rivals including Zig Sheng Industrial Co., Lealea Enterprise Co., Yi Jinn Industrial Co.

Over the past five years Lan Fa has invested near NT$10 billion (US$294.12 million) to purchase high-speed false twist machines and upgrade its management and processing systems. Today the company's textile machines have expanded threefold and the number of its production lines is expected to increase to 95 by the end of the year.

Yeh Chin-tse, general manager of the company, indicated that after the equipment upgrading and production expansion, Lan Fa is very likely to become the largest and best polyester texture yarn manufacturer in the world.

He added that with the adequate supply of Nan Ya's high quality plastic materials, Lan Fa can offer high-quality products to the market at higher prices and maintain a gross profit rate of 16%-23%.
