Jieh Jia Enterprise Co., established in 1994, is now one of Taiwan's leading makers of auto intake systems and parts. It is a major supplier to numerous international tuning-parts brands, and its own Simota brand is also a big name in the global tuning-parts market.

"Engineered to breathe like never before" is the company's commitment to its customers all over the world, reflecting its strong R&D capability as well as its expertise and experience. A large percentage of Jieh Jia's 100 or so workers at two plants in Taiwan are R&D staffers who concentrate on the development of newer and better products that improve the flow of air into auto engines.

In the past, a number of the industry-leading products that Jieh Jia has introduced to the international market have been copied immediately by prominent brands. The company claims to be unafraid of this "sincerest form of flattery," however, because the innovative nature and fine quality of its intake-system products are unmatched and its comprehensive services have made it a difficult company to challenge in the global market.

Among the firm's innovative offerings is the Aero Form air-intake system, made of a high-modulus carbon-fiber structure braided with Kevlar fiber, giving the system high strength together with light weight and unparalleled comfort together with good protection. The system replaces the restrictive factory-made air-filter box and piping, and gives the engine a maximum flow of air together with highly efficient filtration protection.

The Aero Form also lets drivers experience high torque at lower revolutions per minute (RPM), as well as heightened maximum horsepower at higher RPM. An attractive exhaust sound is another advantage of the system.


The Joys of Cold Air


The Aero Form has an air vent, made of Kevlar fiber, which collects the colder (and thus denser) air from outside to provide a better intake temperature.

The system's mandrel-bent piping (made of 6061 aluminum alloy) with a radius adapter offers the smoothest flow of air into the throttle body, and a unique three-dimensional (3D) precision-waving technology is used to ensure that the air filter provides constant and abundant air flow without detracting from the filtration effect.

Jieh Jia claims that it is the only company outside the United States and Europe that is able to manufacture high-end urethane-made air filters that feature light weight, optimum filtration effect, and maximum durability. The filters are cleanable and reusable.

Today Jieh Jia has developed into a small, streamlined company with a product line that has been diversified to include other auto accessories in addition to intake systems. However, the primary concentration remains on providing the most effective air-intake systems.

The firm's product line now encompasses about 50 models of cone air filters, 50 models of replacement air filters, 20 models of mini breathers, about 40 models of cold-air induction systems, more than 30 air-intake systems, over 20 intake-system kits for light trucks (a category that includes minivans, sport-utility vehicles or SUVs, and pickups), over 130 models of strut-tower bars, and other related parts and accessories.

About half of Jieh Jia's products are sold to internationally famous tuning-parts brands in North America and Europe. The company currently has a monthly production capacity of about 160,000 air filters, but one of its plants is being expanded to meet growing demand.
