C-AO Pump Industrial Co., Ltd. Has recently introduced a family of pumps with unique lamp attachments lit by "sensing" the power from the pump's motor, eliminating the need for a separate power source.

Each lamp is equipped with 12 light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and a patented power sensor the company calls an "energy absorber," which in the firm's words "sucks up" its share of the power generated by the motor.

The pumps are designed for use in backyard/garden ponds. Normally such pumps are equipped with halogen lamps that are powered by the pump's motor through a traditional electric wire.

The company's GPS, GPD, FKS, and FKD pump series all feature the LED lamps--the GPD and FKD have two lamps each, while the other two series have one lamp.
The pumps all use either 110V or 220V sources to generate 45 watts of power.

Other functions common to the four series are water display, filtration, and circulation. GPS and GPD models pump 750 gallons of water per hour and come with biological media, fountain kits, and diverter valves. FKS and FKD models are specially made for users who already have pond-filtration systems.

The lamps are also designed for DIY (do-it-yourself) use, easily installed on pumps already in place.

Numerous company models have been granted UL and CSA approval, demonstrating that they fully meet North American standards. The company is applying for CE and CS approval in preparation for the penetration of European markets.

Founded in 1981, the company specializes in pumps for cooling systems, industrial equipment, and pond control. Its most powerful model features 400 watts of output, its most energy-conservative three watts of output. It makes every part for its pumps in-house, and promises customers delivery in 20 to 60 days, depending on procurement volume.
