Taipei, Oct. 15, 2004 (CENS)--The 2004 Taipei International Electronics Finished Products Show (Taitronics Finished Products 2004) will kick off tomorrow for a five-day run at the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC).

The five-day show attracted 766 exhibitors using 1697 booths, up 14.4% and 3.85%, respectively, from last year. A total of 38 foreign exhibitors will display their latest products at the event, including those from Australia, South Korea, Hong Kong, the U.S., Sweden, Netherlands, mainland China etc.

Australia will be the largest non-Taiwan exhibition nation with 20 exhibitors. Australia is the first foreign nation chosen by the Taitronics show as exhibition-partner nation, and its exhibition group will be led by the Australian Electrical & Electronic Manufacturers' Association (AEEMA), which will host 30 trade meetings with interested buyers at the event.

Show organizer Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) said this year's show areas will be divided based on current market trends, including computers and peripherals, communication and satellite equipment, consumer electronics and the recently introduced security and the monitoring system sector. Special theme pavilions and other seminars have also been set up, including FPD (flat panel displays), Digital TVs, Digital Home, RFID, the Green Supply Chain, VOIP and Broadband Networks.

To increase business opportunities for exhibitors, TAITRA has invited representatives from 46 companies in 10 nations to the show and will hold a joint procurement meeting for them to source products from local companies.
