Taipei, June 7, 2006 (CENS)--At the 2006 Taiwan International Motorcycle Industry Show (Motorcycle Taiwan 2006), which will be held from Oct. 27 to 29, many major all terrain vehicle (ATV) makers in Taiwan are scheduled to demonstrate their latest products, according to the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the show' s organizer.

According to TAITRA, Motorcycle Taiwan 2006 will the first such event in Taiwan and the world's only exhibition to bring exhibitors from throughout the motorcycle industry together. Major exhibition themes at Motorcycle Taiwan 2006 will include complete vehicles (motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, electric scooters, and electric bicycles), engines and parts, vehicle frames, accessories, riding accessories, vehicle testing and inspection equipment, and noise and emissions testing equipment.

One manufacturer that will be at the show is Unilli Motor Co., Ltd, a specialized manufacturer of ATVs and karts established in 1980. With high quality and performance, Unilli's ATVs have won many races, taking first place in the 90cc-125cc class of a major Norwegian ATV race (with the company's CX100 cross model) and placing first in the British Championship 2006 ATV race. In addition, the company makes the best-selling 50cc ATV model in the Japanese market, the AX/CX/DX model.

Unilli diversified into designing and manufacturing ATVs and karts several years ago from its original core business of motorcycle engine development and manufacturing. Currently, the company supplies five series of ATVs and several fun-kart models with engine displacements ranging from 49cc to 250cc, most of which meet the 92/61/EEC homologation rules for the European market, as well as the ANSI/SVIA-1-2001 regulations for the U.S market.

Access Motor Co. is internationally famous with its high-quality, heavy-duty twin-seat ATVs for various challenging road conditions. The company claimed that it would demonstrate three new ATV models at the show, including a 250cc sports model, a 250cc utility model, and the ST100LL model.

Access' ATVs feature state-of-the-art styling and powerful engine performance, placing them on an equal competitive footing with top-level counterparts made by big Japanese brands.

Amstrong Industry Corp., a newcomer in the ATV business, claimed that the annual ATV demand from North America market is expected to be around 800,000 units in the near future, and demand for related parts and accessories is also expected to gradually grow. The company has been aggressively developing high-end products, including a 250cc axle-transmission model scheduled to be demonstrated at the show.

TAITRA stresses that it is organizing the first international motorcycle show in Taiwan with four major aims, including Showcasing the Capability of ''Made by Taiwan,'' Motorcycle Design and Innovation, ATV Trends, and Tuning and Performance Enhancing Parts.

The Motorcycle Taiwan 2006 show is expected to attract 120 exhibitors using about 300 booths to showcase their high-quality, new, and innovative products at the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Exhibition Hall 3.
