CENS Boosts Presence At Major International Hardware Expos

The China Economic News Service (CENS)' Taiwan's largest trade-media organization' made its presence felt at a number of prestigious international hardware shows in the first half of 2005' including the International Construction Exhibition in Spain' the National Hardware Show in the United States' and the InterSource Hardware Asia show in Hong Kong.

The International Construction Exhibition' organized by Fira de Barcelona and held at the Montajuic and Gran Via showground on Apr. 11-16' showcased the latest products in eight halls each of which represented an individual theme: woodworking machines and related equipment' fasteners' building materials' doors' overhead cranes' heaters' roof tiles' corrugated roof-sheet forming machines' and outdoor swimming pools.

The CENS booth at the exhibit was located in Hall 8' where it introduced some of its major publications including Taiwan Hardware' Taiwan Lighting' and Taiwan Export Express.

The U.S. National Hardware Show' in its 60th year' was held on May 17-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Lawn & Garden World show ran at the same time' at the Sands Expo and Convention Center.

CENS and the other Taiwan exhibitors showcased their products at the Sands Convention Center' where the Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers' Association organized a forum to introduce Taiwan-developed digital tools and show of the island's efforts at technological innovation.

CENS itself organized an exhibition group consisting of 108 companies' the largest Taiwanese delegation at the show. In all' nearly 200 Taiwanese enterprises were there.

The main categories of products on display included household hardware' hand tools' electrical equipment' decoration equipment' bathroom hardware' garden hardware' and outdoor furniture.

InterSource Hardware was held' concurrently with InterSubcon Asia 2005' on Apr. 14-16 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The show was jointly organized by Koelnmesse GmbH and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd.

In its second year' InterSource highlighted products such as electric tools' hand tools' air-powered tools' building materials' DIY equipment' locks' security systems' and garden tools. (KL' July 2005)
