Taipei, Sept. 12, 2012 (CENS)--LUXGEN Motor Co., Ltd. under Taiwan's Yulon Group recently confirmed the launch of its LUXGEN7 SUV into Russia in the second quarter of 2013, according to K.C. Hu, president of the company.

At the 8th International automotive exhibition (InterAuto) held August 28-31 in Moscow, Russia, Luxgen won very positive responses from auto distributors there.

Hu says Luxgen will first tap the Russian market by exporting cars, then Yulon Group will decide whether to set up a production factory locally depending on sales.

The InterAuto, Hu says, saw many Russians wanting to order Luxgens, with many distributors hoping to join the sales network, indicative of first success in Russia.

According to Hu, some three million new cars are sold in Russia every year, and the number is expected to double soon after the nation becomes a World Trade Organization (WTO) member this year. So the time is right for Luxgen to deploy in Russia to pave the way to increase car export for Yulon Group.

Luxgen plans to soon set up a branch office in Moscow to handle car import, recruit distributors, and marketing, as well as launch the LUXGEN7 SUV (sport utility vehicle) in the second quarter of 2013, LUXGEN5 Sedan (four-door sedan) and the LUXGEN7 MPV (multi-purpose van) in the third or fourth quarter next year.
