Taipei, Nov. 28, 2011 (CENS)--Unfazed by the European sovereign debt crisis, Rechi Precision Co., Taiwan's leading manufacturer of compressors, believes it will sell 11 million compressors this year, based on sales volume having exceeded 10 million in mid-November.
Having sold 9.59 million compressors in the first 10 months, the maker on Nov. 23 held a ceremony to mark its 10th anniversary with major clients, including representatives from Midea, Gree, Haier, Sharp, Tatung and Sampo.
Seeing increased demand for air-conditioner compressors from Haier Group and TCL of China, Rechi plans to establish two production lines in Huizhou, Guangdong province and Qingdao, Shandong province, China in 2012. Each line, to be completed in April and May 2012, will roll out 1.5 million compressors yearly, raising the maker's annual output by 20% to 13 million compressors.
Turning out compressors for dryers, air conditioners and commercial heaters mainly sold to China, Japan and Europe, the maker has sold high-end dryers to Electrolux of Sweden, BOSCH and MIELE of Germany, with steady sales to international home-appliance brands buffering Rechi from the European sovereign debt crisis.
Rechi said China's policy to encourage construction of new buildings in rural areas, more than 10 million new buildings in each of the next five years, will help boost demand for air conditioners as well as compressors.
