3 OTC-listed makers of wire harness scored profits in Jan.

Taipei, Feb. 20, 2003 (CENS)--Three manufacturers of connectors or electronic wire/cable assemblies listed on the local over-the-counter (OTC) bourse witnessed considerable profitability last month, recording earnings per share (EPS) of up to NT$0.56.

The three companies are I-Sheng Electric Wire Cable Co., Ltd., Wanshih Electronic Co., Ltd., and Jye Tai Precision Industrial Co., Ltd.

I-Sheng rang up revenue of NT$138 million last month, dropping by 11.54% from the NT$156 million posted in December last year. The company reaped pretax profit of NT$31 million last month, translating into EPS of NT$0.56.

With revenue of NT$225 million, Wanshih garnered NT$10 million in pretax profit last month, rising by 42% from January last year and by 20% from the preceding month. Based on the current capital, the company's January pretax profit was equivalent to EPS of NT$0.38.

Jye Tai Precision posted revenue of NT$58.22 million and pretax profit of NT$5.21 million last month, with the latter translating into EPS of NT$0.071.
