3 listed makers of electronic wire/cable saw revenues up in July

Taipei, Aug. 7, 2003 (CENS)--Three listed local manufacturers of electronic wire/cable assemblies and/or connectors witnessed their July revenues rise from one year earlier, with I-Sheng Electric Wire Cable Co., Ltd. Recording the highest growth of 24.62%.

The other two companies are Sibon Electronics Co., Ltd. And K. S. Terminals Inc. The two companies are listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, and I-Sheng Electric on the local over-the-counter bourse.

I-Sheng Electric produces power cable harness of game consoles, notebook PCs, and LCD (liquid crystal display) monitors. The company rang up revenue of NT$162 million last month, going up by 24.62% from the NT$130 million posted in July last year. During the January-July period this year, the company raked in revenue of NT$1.064 billion, rising by 20.09% from the NT$886 million registered in the same period of 2002.

Sibon Electronics saw its July revenue of NT$208 million grow by 6.67% from the NT$195 million recorded in July last year and by 7.22% from the NT$194 million posted in June this year. The company's seven-month revenue stood at NT$1.301 billion.

K. S. Terminals specializes in producing terminals of connectors. The company chalked up revenue of NT$91.11 million in July, rising by 17.8% from a year earlier. The company brought in seven-month revenue of NT$650 million, a year-on-year rise of 13.4% and attaining 61.38% of the NT$1.059 billion projected for this year.
