Taipei, July 23, 2003 (CENS)--Three listed local manufacturers of electronic wire/cable assemblies and/or connectors recorded earnings per share (EPS) of NT$2.38-4.3 for the first half of this year.

The three companies are Plastron Precision Co., Ltd., Jess-Link Products Co., Ltd., and K. S. Terminals Inc. Plastron Precision and Jess-Link are listed on the local over-the-counter bourse, and K. S. Terminals on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

Plastron Precision reaped pretax profit of NT$164 million in the first half of this year, climbing by 84.2% from the same period of last year and fulfilling 45.7% of the projection for this year. The company's six-month pretax profit was equivalent to EPS of NT$4.3 based on the capital before ex-right.

Jess-Link chalked up pretax profit of NT$28 million last month, jumping by 100% from June last year. The company garnered pretax profit of NT$167 million in the January-June period, translating into EPS of NT$4.05 based on the capital before ex-right and NT$3.05 based on the capital after ex-right.

K. S. Terminals brought in six-month pretax profit of NT$156 million, growing by 23.9% from January-June 2002 and attaining 60% of the goal for this year. Based on paid-in capital, the company's six-month pretax profit was equivalent to EPS of NT$2.38.
