Fu Sheng, Advanced International Multitech saw revenue rise in May

Taipei, June 11, 2003 (CENS)--Fu Sheng Industrial Co., Ltd. And Advanced International Multitech Co., Ltd., the top two local manufacturers of golf heads, saw their May revenues increase by 15.86% and 37.82%, respectively, from May last year.

Listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, Fu Sheng is the largest OEM (original equipment manufacturing) producer of golf heads around the world. In addition to golf heads, the company makes air compressors and lead frames used in packaging Ics (integrated circuits).

Fu Sheng rang up NT$743 million in revenue last month, growing by 15.86% from May 2002. The company raked in cumulative revenue of NT$3.926 billion for January-May this year, rising by 24.12% from the same five months of last year and fulfilling 42.47% of the NT$9.2449 billion projected for this year.

Advanced International Multitech is listed on the local over-the-counter bourse. Thanks to OEM (original equipment manufacturing) orders from Taylor Made, the company garnered revenue of NT$382 million last month, jumping by 37.82% from May last year but slipping by 8.85% from April this year. The company brought in five-month revenue of NT$2.017 billion, climbing by 51.09% from the NT$1.335 billion posted in the same period of last year.

On the other hand, Advanced International Multitech will invest NT$350 million to expand its factory in Kaohsiung City, southern Taiwan, mainly for production of high-end golf heads and carbon-fiber products, with completion scheduled for 2006.
