Taipei, June 10, 2003 (CENS)--Anderson Industrial Corp. said yesterday that its revenue stood at NT$246 million in May, a historical high figure in recent years and up 24% from the same month a year earlier.

The local precision machine maker scored revenue of NT$991 million in the first five months, a mere 1% growth from the same period of 2002 and reaching 40% of its revenue target of NT$2.45 billion set for 2003.

Anderson Industrial has been specialized in the manufacture of both PCB (printed circuit board) drilling machines and non-metal machining centers. The firm said that orders for PCB-use drilling machines have grown sharply from mainland China since early this year.

The firm estimated that orders from mainland China would continue growing in the following months. This will help the firm increase revenue and turn profitable this year.

Meanwhile, Anderson Industrial is now negotiating with two woodworking machine makers in Europe. The firm will use its own brand and OEM (original equipment manufacturer) methods to enter Europe and the U.S. market in 2004.
