Taiwan's polyester textured yarn stock up 22.91% in March

Taipei, April 29, 2003 (CENS)--The inventory volume of polyester textured yarn in Taiwan stood at 67,355 metric tons at the end of March, increasing by 22.91% from the end of February this year.

According to the Taiwan Association of Synthetic Stretch Yarn Industries, the domestic inventory volume of polyester textured yarn at the end of March this year rose by 12,554 metric tons or 22.91% from the 54,801 metric tons posted at the end of the preceding month.

The inventory of polyester textured yarn at the end of each month stood at 57,651 metric tons in January, then dropped to 54,801 metric tons in February and rebounded to 67,355 metric tons in March.

Meanwhile, the total stock volume of polyester filament yarn, the material of polyester textured yarn, rose by 8,905 metric tons or 20.84% from the 42,731 metric tons at the end of February 2003 to the 51,636 metric tons at the end of last month.

On the other hand, the domestic stock volume of nylon textured yarn stood at 3,623 metric tons at the end of March, rising by 263 metric tons or 7.83% from the 3,360 metric tons registered a month earlier.
