Taipei, Feb. 12, 2003 (CENS)--Three local manufacturers/distributors of electric passive devices listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange witnessed last month's revenues rise from January 2002, with Holy Stone Enterprise Co., Ltd. Hitting its record high monthly level of NT$498 million.

The other two companies are Walsin Technology Corp. and Luxon Electronics Corp.

Holy Stone Enterprise distributes passive devices with MLCCs (multi-layer ceramic chip capacitors) being the major product line as well as ASICs (application-specific integrated circuits), BGA (ball grid array) substrates, multimedia devices, and image products. Moreover, the company manufactures Ics used in telecommunication. The company's historically highest revenue of NT$498 million for last month grew by 48.65% from January 2002 and by 16% from December last year.

Walsin Technology is a manufacturer of MLCCs, chip resistors, multi-layer chip inductors, and other passive device items. The company rang up revenue of NT$477 million last month, jumping by 35% from a year earlier.

Luxon Electronics specializes in production of aluminum electrolytic capacitors. The company chalked up NT$187 million in revenue last month, hiking by 10.65% from the NT$169 million posted a year earlier and by 24.6% from December 2002.
