ABBA's Products Spread Worldwide

Founded in mid-1999, ABBA Linear Tech Co., Ltd. Is one of the island's leading manufacturers of linear guideways. Its main products are self-lubricant linear guideways; management states that the firm turns out about 8,000 guideways and 10,000 blocks every month. Its products are sold under its own brand, "ABBA," with unit prices between US$100 and US$200 per set. ABBA's revenue was NT$360 million in 2003 and NT$650 million in 2004 (year-on-year growth rate of 80% in 2004).

Since its establishment, ABBA Linear has focused on self-developing technologies and improved extant equipment to meet customers' needs. It also has much cooperative experience with National Taiwan University of Technology and Science developing creative products. ABBA's self-lubricant guideways are very durable because of its four-row curve design. So far the company won a total of 25 international patents in Taiwan, Japan, Germany, the U.S.A. and mainland. Recently the company unveiled new products: BC series (ball chain linear guideways), BM series (miniature linear guideways) and oil tank linear guideways.

The company exports its products worldwide; its main overseas markets are mainland China, Japan, Korea, Europe and America. Approximately 67% of the firm's products are exported and the remaining 34% sold in Taiwan. So far its products have won worldwide praise.

The company will display its products at a number of international machinery fairs this year, including PRAGOLIGNA (Fair of Woodworking, Machinery, Equipment, Wood Products, Plastics and Components) in Prague from Feb. 24 to 26, TIMTOS (Taipei International Machine Tools Show) from March 15 to 20 March, HANNOVER MESSE (World's No.1 for Technology, Innovation and Automation) in Germany from April 11 to 15, FEIMAFE (International Machine Tools and Integrated Manufacturing Systems Trade Fair) in Sao Paulo Brazil from 9 to 14 May and EMO (World of Metalworking) in Hanover Germany from Sept. 14 to 21.
