Taipei, March, 8 2005 (CENS)--Top executives of Taiwan information technology (IT) conglomerates will appear at the upcoming CeBIT information and telecommunications technology show in Hannover, Germany (March 10-16) to tap the rising pan-European market.

At the CeBIT 2005, Taiwan's Hon Hai Group, the world's largest maker of connectors, barebone PCs, and game consoles, will concentrate on promoting its Foxconn brand products. Guo Tai-cheng, younger brother of Hon Hai chairman Terry Guo and chairman of Foxconn Technology Co., a major affiliate of Hon Hai, will head an exhibition team to promote own-brand sales at the show. Hon Hai is scheduled to demonstrate several eye-catching products at the event, including desktop PCs, barebone PCs, motherboards, coolers, networking/communication products and severs.

In addition, Hon Hai will also exhibit a series of LCD TV and monitor models, with thin film transistor-liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) panels supplied by affiliated Innolux Display Corp. and modules developed by Foxconn, at the show.

Hon Hai has aggressively developed sales of Foxconn-branded products over the past few years and took part in the CeBIT for the first time last year. In a bid to effectively and rapidly build its brand image, the group cooperated with Intel of the U.S. and adopted Intel-processor solutions on its motherboard products. Hon Hai, however, also cooperates with Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) to push the WinFast own-brand motherboard products.

Acer Inc., the No. 1 computer brand in Taiwan and No. 5 in the world, is scheduled to debut the company's latest PC models and LCD PCs and digital cameras. Acer's new president Gianfranco Lanci and some high-ranking officials responsible for European businesses will be at Acer's booths to further strengthen ties with cooperation partners in Europe.
