Ho Sheng Specializes in Industrial-Use Cutters

Ho Sheng Industrial Corp., established in 1997, is an innovative manufacturer of various kinds of industrial-use cutters. Its products are sold under its own brand, "Ho Sheng." The company also produces on both OEM (original equipment manufacturing) and ODM (original design manufacturing) bases for clients located both at home-Taiwan--and abroad. Management says the firm can fabricate high quality products meeting all conceivable customer specifications.

The cutters are, says Huang Su-Chen, sales manager of the company, "unusually sharp and durable. All the raw materials used in our products are imported from Japan and Germany. Our company can undercut Japanese suppliers by 30~40% on price while rivaling them in quality." She attributes the superior features of her firm's models primarily to technological innovation and strict quality control.

Since its establishment, the firm has focused on developing new products and improving extant equipment to meet customers' needs. The company also provides such after-sales services as modifying the teeth or the cutting angles for its clients. Its products are especially popular in Taiwan, widely used by such international-standard names as Uni-President Enterprises, Kuai Kuai, I-Mei Foods, Lian Hwa Foods, and Hunya Foods.

Approximately 90% of the firm's products are sold in the Taiwan market. The remainder is exported worldwide, with the firm's main markets being the U.S.A., Russia, Hong Kong, and mainland China.

Located in Taichung County, central Taiwan, the firm's manufacturing plant has a floor area of around 300 pings (one ping is approximately 36 sq. ft.).
