Introduction

Founded in 1980, Chih Chuen Inc. began by making drill presses and vises. With 80 employees, Chih Chuen has good techniques for making drill presses, miter saws, cut-off saws, scroll saws, wood trimmers, tilt cutters, etc. High quality and good service have made us well-known in the field of power tools. We have sold our products in more than 80 countries.

In 1983, reorganized as Chih Chuen Industrial Co., Ltd., increasing capital to US$200,000, we gained UL and CSA approval. We expanded our plant in 1985, and added new production facilities, with our main product being the drill presses. Our annual goal was product development, and we began to produce miter saws, scroll saws and cut-off saws in 1990. In 1991, we started to produce motors in house, and increased our capital to US$800,000. Making good use of a new computer system, we completed our office automation in 1992.

Starting from 1993, we produced according to ISO-9002 quality system and CE approval system. And, in the following year, we obtained ISO-9002 quality certification and CE approval. This year, our plant in mainland China (Hangzhou Chih Chuen Machine & Electric Co., Ltd.) started production in June.
