Introduction

FFAR EASTERN TEXTILE LTD. (FETL) is the largest and most diversified manufacturer of textiles and related products for apparel and home furnishings in Taiwan. Formerly an established knitting factory in Shanghai, the operations were transferred to Taiwan I FETL was Taiwan's first vertically integrated textile company. It was also the first company to establish a computer center to process data for management information and process control. With annual exports of US$416 million in 1992, FETL is one of the largest exporters from the R.O.C. and has, since 1978, been awarded the annual Premier's Golden Medal for its outstanding export performance.

FFETL has been repeatedly awarded the Premier's Golden Medal for its outstanding export performance. FETL's textile products include Ali-shan brand cotton yarn, TC blended yarn, texturized yarn, Estlon synthetic gray cloth and printed fabrics, and Skyscraper-brand shirts, underwear, towels, bedsheets, coats, and pants.

FFETL has also entered into licensing agreements with Manhattan and Harmax. FETL produces and sells Manhattan and John Henry dress shirts, Paul Simon underwear, and Society brand suits.

In 1992 our shirt/suit/underwear lines each achieved the highest market share in the domestic market.
